At a press conference on Oct. 10, President Steve K. Stoute announced a new scholarship program called the Canisius Buffalo Promise Scholarship. He said this will “automatically cover 100% of tuition after aid for up to four years of undergraduate study at Canisius University to eligible admitted students,” according to their event flyer. Furthermore, income eligibility means that students must “live in a household at or below $125,000 adjusted gross income,” and have a 142 ZIP code. 


As of Oct. 10, Kamala Harris is leading the national poll by 2.4% in an average of 16 polls, according to 270towin


There will be a panel discussion on the Green Borders film on Oct. 16 at 2:30 p.m. in the Grupp Fireside Lounge. 


A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream had its opening night on Oct. 10, with additional performances happening this weekend as well. The Oct. 11 show will take place at 8 p.m. The Oct. 12 show will be playing at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. 


Unity will be hosting a National Coming Out Day event on Oct. 11 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Bart Mitchell Quad. 


There will be Everglades Information Sessions on Oct. 8 and 17 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Old Main 223. This will be for the HON241/EVST300 class. 


The Afro-American Society will be holding its general body meeting on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. in HO107. 


Fusion Gaming and Art Club present Boo Bash featuring a costume contest, arts and crafts, as well as games. This will be hosted on Oct. 18 in the Palisano Basement at 7:30 p.m. 


The International Institute of Buffalo and the Canisius University Physician Assistant Program are holding a donation drive to help support newly arriving refugees. The bins are located in the basement of Science Hall and the Andrew L. Bouwhuis library.
