The United Students Association (USA) is currently holding informational sessions for e-board positions. Open positions include: president, executive vice-president, vice president of business and finance and vice president of marketing and public relations. These positions are open to both graduate and undergraduate students. 


Applications are currently open to apply to be a commencement speaker. The deadline is Feb. 28 at 5 p.m. 


Applications are open to apply to present at Ignatian Scholarship Day. The deadline to apply is March 3. 


On Feb. 28, there will be a prayer vigil held for Pope Francis. 


The New York Times reported that “The Mexican government on Thursday began sending to the United States nearly 30 top cartel operatives wanted by the American authorities, including one notorious drug lord that U.S. officials had been seeking to bring to justice for 40 years, according to a statement by the Mexican government.” This follows the pressure that the Trump administration has placed on President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico. 


The New York Times reported that “Representative Dan Goldman, Democrat of New York, will introduce a resolution to affirm Congress’s support for the 22nd Amendment limiting presidents to two terms in office, as President Trump and his allies continue to talk about pushing for a third term.” 


The New York Times reported “Iowa lawmakers overwhelmingly passed a bill on Thursday that would end state civil rights protections for transgender people.”
