The New York Times reported that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to be sworn in as Health Secretary on Thursday after receiving Senate confirmation, despite being a “vaccine skeptic.” 


The New York Times reported that as of Feb. 13, European leaders are quickly responding to “President Trump’s moves to broker peace in Ukraine directly with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, a day after Mr. Trump suggested borders could be redrawn.” If this happens, it could mean that “NATO membership could be withheld and European allies could be left out of talks.” 


The Washington Post reported that the Trump administration – as of Feb. 13 – has laid off “thousands across the government,” via “messages delivered through pre-recorded videos and on group calls, according to people familiar with the matter.” 


The deadline to submit to the Quadrangle has been extended to Feb. 15 at 11:59 p.m. 


Applications are open to apply to be a student ambassador. A flier containing a QR code was sent from the Center for Career Development. 


There is a new literary criticism journal being developed on campus. Students interested in volunteering to be an editor should contact Hawa Saleh at saleh5@canisius.edu


Applications are open for students to apply to be an FYE peer mentor for the fall 2025 semester. Students can apply now until March 3 on Griff Connect. 


Applications are currently open for students to apply to be a commencement speaker. The deadline is Feb. 28. 


Applications are open to apply for the Canisius Earning Excellence Program (CEEP) until Feb. 24. CEEP gives students the “opportunity to work alongside Canisius faculty or administrators for educational and rewarding experiences,” as per the email about applications.
