The submission deadline for The Quadrangle has been extended to Feb. 15 at 11:59 p.m.
The final model call for Afro’s spring fashion show will be held on Friday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. in Regis.
Applications are currently open for students to apply to be a commencement speaker. The deadline is Feb. 28.
The ALANA Student Center is hosting their annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. public lecture on Tuesday, Feb. 11, with Dr. Shaun Nelms as the keynote speaker. This year’s lecture theme is "Leading and Living with Purpose."
The AP News reported that Donald Trump said that he would be “exploring whether he can move forward with El Salvador’s offer to accept and jail violent American criminals in the ‘most severe cases’ even as he and Secretary of State Marco Rubio both say it raises clear legal issues.” Furthermore, Trump stated, “I’m just saying if we had a legal right to do it, I would do it in a heartbeat,” Trump told reporters Tuesday in the Oval Office, “I don’t know if we do or not, we’re looking at that right now.”
USA’s Public Health Committee will be setting up a “self-love table” in the library on Thursday, Feb. 13, with sticky note affirmations and information about self care techniques.
The New York Times reported that “The Trump administration plans to retain only about 290 of the more than 10,000 employees worldwide at the U.S. Agency for International Development, according to three people with knowledge of the planned cuts to the work force.” Furthermore, “At the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Environmental Justice, 168 employees were placed on administrative leave, according to agency officials.”
Psychology Club will be hosting a Valentine’s Day create-your-own card and goodie bag event on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. in Regis. Candy, pastries and popcorn will be provided!
