The men’s lacrosse team has scored 10 goals against each of their MAAC opponents, leading them to a 3–1 conference record.

After beating Sacred Heart 10–8, the Griffs pulled out back-to-back 10–9 victories over Merrimack and Quinnipiac. Most recently, the team fell 14–10 to Marist in their first conference loss of the season. Following the loss, Head Coach Mark Miyashita said his team needs to “not let the moment get too big” during close games like this one.

TJ Buono and Patrick Mitchell’s hat tricks helped the Griffs defeat the Pioneers in their first game of conference play. Jordan Reed notched four goals against the Warriors, and a third quarter buzzer-beater by junior Ashton Burian from deep within Canisius’ defensive zone proved to be the difference maker in the one-goal contest.

Reed tallied another hat trick against the Bobcats, scoring the final three goals of the game to complete the Griffs’ comeback against Quinnipiac. A goal and assist from the sophomore helped Canisius reach 10 goals against Marist, but it wasn’t enough to defeat the Red Foxes.

The Griffs take on the Manhattan Jaspers on Saturday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at the Demske Sports Complex.
